I appreciate being given the privilege of representing District 2 for the schools in Cuyahoga, Lake, and Geauga Counties.  Having served as the editor of The Runner for the past three years, I have had the opportunity to see the outstanding work that the

members of the OATCCC Executive Committee do and it is an honor to have been given the chance to serve you in that capacity.

If you are having trouble accessing anything here, the problem is the browser.  I

recommend switching to Internet Explorer—it seems to work the best.  If there is anything I can ever do for you, please don’t hesitate to call, or contact me by clicking here.

Thank you again for this privilege.

Good Luck District 2!

Good luck to all of the teams from District 2 as you enter into the State Championship tournament.  There has been a lot of controversy over the shift in Regional sites, but in the end—it appears that a good “neutral” (or as neutral as it probably gets) site was chosen.

Canton GlenOak has a beautiful facility and it should be a flat and fast course on which to qualify.  Kids are excited about it from the sound of things because they know they are being given a chance to really get out and show off what they can do.

There has been no discussion to date about returning to Boardman next

Year, but it is assumed at this point that the adventure to GlenOak is a one year sojourn.

Jim Fox and his people always do a great job though and we applaud their efforts on behalf of all of our athletes and for the benefit of cross country in Northeast Ohio.  The meet will be as well organized and efficiently run as it always has been so that coaches can concentrate on their teams.

And at the end of the day—we will have our State qualifying teams and individuals.

But in the mean time—there is another week of running to take care of before we need to worry about these things and so I say again—to all of you and your athletes—

GOOD LUCK!
